My footage captured less than 29.97 help !!
I am capturing footage offline RT via Dexcklink Extreme SDI on a dual 2 gig G5 with 5.7 drivers. After digitizing about 37 hrs
of footage. The problem is in FCP and in after effects the fps read 29.97 but in quicktime it read any where from 29.07 , 29.93, 29.91. What is wrong with my footage?I still have 50 hours to digitize.

Does your footage play fine in Final Cut?
I’ve gotten strange reports from Quicktime Player on FPS…. I disregard it since everything is ship shape in FCP. I think it’s just buggy code.

It looks ok and I check a few places for sync.

Yeah, just forget what QT says. I just opened a 29.97 clip @ 8bit that I just digitized… QT says 30.04 fps. there’s a bug somewhere.
