This is my first test footage here. I shot it in 24P and imported it into Adobe Premiere with a standard project settings. I’ve exported it as MPEG4 and WMV and it always does this.
Do I need to change something my project settings to make it 24P?

I’m just learning all this, thanks in advance.

To get true 24P I believe you MUST shoot in 24PA (F6) mode on the camera, then open a Premiere Project in Panasonic 24P mode and capture and edit in that. Are you sure you shot this in 24P, it looks like you may have used 24PA mode instead.

    No, it was definately 24P.

How do I open a Premiere Project in Panasonic 24P? What do I do to do that? I’ve started projects with standard NTSC settings, is there something somewhere that I specify I’m running in 24P?

Standard settings are correct for 24P shot on DVX100A. IF you want to edit in 24P then you MUST shoot in 24P Advanced . . .

I’m confused. That doesn’t make any sense to me.
So if I bring my 24P footage into Premiere Pro, is it actually going into a 60i timeline?
    How do I change this?

I did a little research. I foud out that you can edit 24p in a 24p timeline. It’s just that 24p advanced will provide better resolution. It allows the NLE to extract all 24 frames. Regular 24p has some interlacing.

So you can edit it. Your really throwing me for a loop. LOL
