When I try to open Avid, the opening screen pops up, but then as soon as “Configuring I/O Subsystems” comes up at the bottom, the program unexpectedly quits. I have tried all the obvious solutions like restarting, quiting, and opening it in a few different ways (through the dock, finder, and avid files) but nothing has worked. Anyone have ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey thanks for the advice, turns out there was an update available, v4.6.5 and I was still on 4.3.1. But now, they want my upgrade key which is supposedly located on my upgrade kit? I have no idea what they are talking about. I have the discs for installation and the other stuff that came with it (I bought it last August) but I can’t find any upgrade key.

It’s your dongle ID. Launch “DOngle Dumper” and you will get your ID numbers.
