  • My DV audio is unrendered and I don’t know why!

I’ve been doing some long captures (>20 minutes) recently. They play perfectly in the Viewer, but when I insert them into the timeline, the audio is unrendered. I have no idea what the problem might be; my capture setting is DV PAL 48 KHz and the sequence setting is DV PAL 48KHz.

    Any ideas?

Was the CAMERA set to 32kHz audio recording?

Nope. The audio on the DV tape is 48kHz.

The weird thing is, short captures (say <60 seconds) are all fine. It just seems to be long ones that have unrendered audio for some reason.

Please have a look in the brownser and see if the data-rate of the captured clips is exactly 48Khz.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Yes, everything is exactly 48kHz.
