My Avid Express is dumping bins. I’m not deleting things but it’s just dumping sequences, video and gfx. This happens after I close the bins and shut down the computer. I’ve been editing for quite some time and have never heard of an Avid doing this. I was told my CPU battery may be dead and I don’t know if that has anything to do with the problem. Any assistance would be a great help. Thanks a bunch.

The motherboard battery may be dead – is the clock wrong each time you start your PC? If so then the battery needs replacing.

As for that affecting your bins etc, unlikely. More likely is your prefs/user account being corrupt. Try creating a new user and open, edit, save your sequence and see what happens there.

Post back and let the Cows know.
