my audio recordings are only 1.00 seconds long.
When recording narration using audio mixer, it only records 1 second of audio. I created a new sequence without video and audio recored as normal. When I transferred sequence 1’s timeline, the same audio recording problem happened. The audio associated with the video plays normal. Also, when I place the play head on the timeline where I want to begin recording audio, when I enable audio recording and then press play, the play head jumps to the beginning of the timeline.

Not really sure why that is happening, but you could look at your audio capture settings. As a general workflow, when I am doing a VO or recording external audio I always use audition and then export that audio into PrPro.
