MXF on PremierPro Incorrect TimeCode
Footage (interview) shot on C300. Imported to PrPro and cut a rough edit. Sent all raw files (MXF plus all the metadata in original folders) and Project file to editor over our server. When he opened the project, clips in his timeline were incorrect tine codes and did not match my rough cut. Time codes were way off. Anyone seen this before? Any idea why this happened? FYI- The clips in question were from a clip that was split-up do to file length as the Canon’s do. Unfortunately, it was the only clip from that camera on the timeline so I don’t have another non-split clip to compare it to but other clips that were shot on another camera all stayed in tact.

I’m unclear as to why the timecodes are an issue. Are you sure the clips were reconnected correctly? The way you described it makes me think he relinked to the wrong clips.

Yes. This is why I posted the thread. We tried relinking the clips, twice. We started a new project and and retied it.
We trashed the Files from the Bin and reimported them. Same thing happened.The clips it linked was wrong and one of the clips showed hash stripes.

Did you by any chance change frame rates from the interpret footage settings?

Nope. My editor just opened the project file I sent and the problem emerged.

The only thing I think it can be has something to be with the footage being on a network drive. You can open the same project with files on a local hard drive and it works fine?

Footage is not on a network drive. It was uploaded to a server and downloaded and being edited locally. I have done this before without having this problem over the same server.
