  MXF In Pro 17?

  So I went to revisit some old projects where the shot pieces from my EX1 were stitched together in the Sony SxS Card Reader program and exported out as MXF files and was surprised to discover that Pro 17 can’t open the video stream, only the audio stream. All my previous versions of Vegas Pro can open these files without issue so it’s something hinky going on with 17.

  This isn’t a huge crisis as I can always use legacy versions when I need to revisit older projects, but I’d love to know why 17 is getting stuck on this.

  So something new in 17 that’s frustrating: can’t open MP4 files directly from my EX3; the video track loads but the audio doesn’t yet I have no such issues importing the same clips into Vegas 13. What’s the deal here, 17? Not being able to use Sony files in the newest version of the program (yes, I know it’s not Sony anymore, but still) without (apparently) tweaking some operating parameters is quite annoying.
