In the clip’s properties, does PP list any audio channels or just the video part of the clip? What Camera is this MXF from? Do all clips from this camera fail, or just the one?

    Hi John
The clip in PP doesn’t show any audio track or information. The clip is an xdcam mxf clip sent to us as a file. I think it originated out of a fcp 7. Do I need any codecs.

Just a file with a .MXF extension?

Are you using the Media Browser to import the file?

Just a file with .mxf extension. The properties when I look it up in PP: XDCAM-HD 422 Movie. I have tried importing it and through media browser.

Well, the obvious possibility is that FCP mucked with the file somehow. I’m guessing this one file was sent to you and you don’t have access to the camera?

I’m assuming you tried opening it in AE and AME too?

I’m going to sleep on this…
