  MXF import issues in Premiere CS5

  We recently updated to CS5 Master Collection.

  In Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, we are having difficulty importing mxf files. Premiere sees the file and imports, but then takes 2 hours+ to “render peak file”….then, takes upwards of 7 hours to render that file within the sequence….which seems incredibly long for only a 10 min. mxf file.

  Running on a PC, with Vista.

  I have done some looking around on the internet and see that others have had this problem as well. However, from what I can see, looks like no one has found a solution yet.

  Have any of you discovered a good workaround for working with mxf files in Premiere CS5?
