    Hi,
I recently started learning the basics of Avid Media Composer. For that purpose I was working on Windows and everyhthing went ok. However, today I wanted to use my project and mediafiles on a mac and my medias keep saying they’re offline. I tried creating a Medafiles folder (/Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1) in the root of my mac volume but Avid doesn’t recognice it. Any idea of what should I do?

Double check your spelling of the folder.

You can also open Avid and create and render a text element, or import a still, and let Avid create the folder for you. This may tell you if you have some rights issues with the drive.

The fundamental problem I’ve experienced when transferring files from PC to MAC, is the permissions. I suspect you need to allow your MAC system RW access to those hard drives and files.
