MXF Files created in MC 4.0.4, working in MC 2.8.3
Hi there. I have Avid MXF files that were created in MC 4.0.4 (DNxHD 145) from a Canon 5D and a Canon 7D source. However, we are working with MC 2.8.3, and I can see only the top half of the frame. The bottom half is either green or static. The tech that loaded the files said it was a codec issue, sent me new codecs to install, but to no avail. I can export the files out using “same as source” settings, and I see the entire screen, but I lose metadata info that I will need once I send everything to telecine.
Is there any work around that has been successful for anyone. Renting a MC 4.0 system is not in our budget.
