    Hello,

I did a music vid recently and i wanted to do a multi cam edit. I used the cannon 5d mark 2 and the panasonic hmc 40. both in 1080P. when i tried to edit the clips with the multi cam edit the footage lags and there is a green bar on the time line. i have done multi cam edits before, but not in HD. i tried to make sure my setting are correct. i’m thinking it’s the proRess codec. Does anyone have any insight?

Multiple streams of ProRes requires fast drives. You’ll need a RAID of some sort when working with multiple streams of ProRes. eSATA like Caldigit VR, G-Raid 3. Or if you have a MacPro, then getting 3 more internal SATA drives and raid those together. Or look at external RAID cases from Maxx Digital or CalDigit or SOnnet.
