    hello,

ive grouped four cameras together by their in-points, cut that group into a sequence, mapped MC to my keyboard “f” buttons, and clicked on “multicam” view, but still the on-the-fly edits do not cut into my sequence. am i missing a step? i see the green line under the active cam in my source, but when i click to another camera it does not make an edit point in my sequence. the green line moves to the new camera but the edits dont appear.

    any thoughts?

    thanks,

    jimmy

Is your sequence the active monitor when you do this?

    please help. thanks

I am somewhat stumped. You made a group clip, loaded it as source, edited the entire clip as a sequence then entered multicamera mode… from there you have an active V track on the record side and you are editing on the fly and no add edits are being recorded?

There are separate buttons for switching (viewing without making cuts) and editing multicam. Make sure you are using the correct ones (and have the correct ones mapped to the keyboard.

Thats what i get for having windows for both the Avid and FCP forums…

    Definitely wrong advice for Avid.

    Sorry about that.

    HI
have you mapped the M1 M2 M3 M4 keys to the keyboard from within the command pallette.?

I find i have to hit the stop bar to update the timeline with the edits ive made.
