Muting FCPX whilst it captures?
Hi guys!
Just trying to listen to another project in Quicktime whilst i capture some new footage, but the audio from the capture still play’s and i cant get my head round how to turn it off.
There’s probably an extremely simple solution, but hey its Monday morning.

I’m not at my office right now, but I have done many hours of ingesting from HDV and MiniDV while I am working in other Apps and I’m 95% sure the audio doesn’t play back the SOT while capturing. However, I create camera archives first which I have found to be the preferred workflow. I would try that and see if that works out for you.

Got back to my office and I can confirm that audio doesn’t play through the Mac in the Create Archive process.
