I’m working with ENG vis with lav on one track and camera audio on the other.

The camera audio is really loud, very ambient, and for the most part I don’t need to hear it when previewing a clip. Is there a way to bring down just the CH2 audio while previewing clips in the source Viewer?

I’m cool with just bringing A1 to the timeline. It’s previewing all these clips that is driving me batty. And I need to capture both tracks for the times when I actually need camera audio.

Open the Audio Mixer and mute it there. (in my layout, I keep the mixer open all the time)
