I’m editing with two tracks of video and audio and am synching them up and putting in a PIP in one track. So I need to mute both audio and video of different tracks at different times. Everything was working fine until I started editing today and I must have mucked something up and I’m sure the solution is just something simple, but I can’t seem to figure it out.

My problem is that when I mute one audio track, it mutes both tracks. And the audio tracks are locked together, so I can’t just listen to one track like I could before by simply clicking the mute button for that track. And the same is true for the video tracks. If I try to mute just the video on track one, it is all locked together for all the tracks and they all get muted. So I can’t view the lower track, just the upper.

So what can I do to get this back to normal again? Thanks!

Never mind. It works now. Not sure what happened, but it works now.

When you click on a mute button, it will mute “Selected” tracks. Apparently you had both tracks selected before and now you only have a single track selected.
