Muted colors in Color Libraries

February 21, 2019 at 4:25 pmI have a user that saves color libraries regularly for projects.
If you open the color libraries via the website, they work fine – you can eyedropper them and get correct colors.
When you open them in the Libraries panel within Premiere Pro, all colors are very muted and using an eyedropper will in fact deliver the muted color.
It’s not the end of the world, but is it a known issue, something we are not doing correctly, or just something weird we are dealing with?

February 28, 2019 at 3:15 pmThis has puzzled me as well. I thought it was a CMYK/RGB thing, but I just made some RGB colors in AI and they’re still grayed out in Pr. So I searched on the Adobe Forums:
https://forums.adobe.com/message/10833844#10833844The “correct answer” says it’s not a bug but “by design.” The way to see colors in full is to make the palette into a graphic in Photoshop.
Seems clunky. I hope they “redesign” this “feature.”
