Music Video Effect
I saw this video a while ago, and was trying to figure out how they did it, and couldn’t figure it out. I thought it might have been a filter, or a filter they added in Photoshop.
Can someone check out this video and see if they can figure it out. Theres one about 20 seconds in which looks like a film effect with a strobe like look. Then there is another effect about 40 seconds in which just looks like a strobe effect or something, but looks like something more. Can this be done in FCP?

Best I can tell that is a graphic with an Alpha that is keyed onto the footage…and then the footage is strobing. Nothing internal on FCP does that matte, you need to have it created, or you can look for something similar at places like artbeats.com.
The stroby footage can be had using the STROBE filter in FCP.

the strobe effect 20 secoonds in i dont beleive is the strobe used in final cut. It is a series of still frames i beleive
