Hi there, experienced shooter, relatively new to AE.

I’ve shot some ace footage in a skate park. I took these clips into AE and duplicated them, then experimented with the Blend Modes, creating very nice colouring. I used Bezier Distortion on top layer, which created a really interesting colouring effect, especially when the corners fold over, as this created three ‘layers’ of colour, constantly evolving. The Bezier/corner thing however feels really obvious and shit to me.

I’d like to achieve similarly interesting 3D and evolving colouring, using a more original and interesting effect. Am I even making sense?!

I’ll post a samaple of what I’d done.

Any tips would be sincerely appreciated.

    Cheers,

    David.

I guess I am confused, are you looking for just interesting coloring techniques or something to look similar to what you currently have?

Well, the Bezier has created a mask essentially, but I think it’s shit. I’d like to create interesting shaped masks, that evolve
