    Hi,

I have come across a problem when syncing my frames with the accompanying music.

I have taken stills of some of my clips using he SHIFT-N command and placed them in the timeline to appear on the beat of the song. However, The beat of the song is not in sync with the frame/timeline speed and the problem occurs because I cannot edit my clips shorter than one frame so some are slightly out of time with the music. Is there a way to cut between frames or ix this somehow?

I’m sure this must be a common problem. Any ideas?

    Thanks

You cannot edit sub frame video. It makes no sense. If the music beat is not on the frame boundary, then cut with the audio ahead. It will only be sub frame and the way the brain works, it focuses on image first, so it doesn’t realise the audio is slightly leading.

It is a trick I use a lot with audio post to make a spot effect seem like it stick to a big visual change like an explosion. Same thing applies to atmos. I always lead the cut with a 4 or 6 frame crossfade up to the cut.
