  • Music Playback Software in Arena/Stadium

    Hello.

We are looking to upgrade our music playback software for our arena and stadium events (mostly football and hockey games), and are looking for some recommendations.

We’ve looked at ClickEffects, but are looking for something less expensive.

    Any ideas? Recommendations?

    Thank you.

    What are the requirements.
    Music only?
Microphones to be interfaced and mixed in
    Video playback to giant screens
What file types do you need – Pro res etc etc.

itunes and windows media player can playback music. Before anyone can really contribute or help you need to explain what do you need from your system.

The requirement is just pre-recorded music playback (MP3 and WAV) files.
    No need for video playback.

The software will be installed on a Windows PC, and used to play music in the venue (through standard 3.5mm stereo output).

We are looking for software with easy-to-use and quick to access GUI. Something similar to ClickEffect’s ProAudio software, with playback buttons and on-the-fly playlist creation.

iTunes, etc. are fine, but do not allow for easy content organization, based on promotions/game occurrences.

    Thanks.

download.cnet.com lists over 100 “cue player” applications for Windows. All of them either free or quite inexpensive. I would think that you could find several candidates in their list that would have the features that you are looking for. Most of the paid apps have free download and trial.

This may sound crazy, but here’s an iPhone App designed specifically for this purpose – you wanted cheaper!

While I’m at it, here’s a song that belongs at hockey games:

    Hope this was helpful!
