Multitrack audio recording software
A year or so ago I used this amazing software for the mac that allowed me to capture multiple audio tracks (up to 16 in my case, because that is what my hardware supported). The real beauty of this software was it was specifically designed to be used in the film/video production world, with a great logging system that recorded the scene, shot, take, and other information for each channel and stored it in the metadata of the file. I would love to use this or simular software on a upcoming project but I have no idea what it is called and a hour of google searches was turned up nothing. Anyone know what I might have been using or somethingI might try?

Thanks for the response richard, it turns out I was using metacorder, which is amazing but very expensive, well over $1000. I checked out boomrecorder and I might be switching.
