Multiprocessing not working – GPU not available…
Hi, and thanks in advance for any help!
I am no longer able to get AE CS6 to render utilizing multiprocessing (MP). And rendering is slow as a result.
I am working on an i7 Quad Core, 2011 Macbook Pro, running Yosemite 10.10.4,
with 16gb of Ram, and an ATI Radeon HD 6750M, OpenGL EngineMy understanding is I cannot enable CUDA with my video card, but shouldn’t I still be able to utilize MP through my GPU?
However, I am currently unable to get MP working, even though I was able to do so in the past, (certainly when running OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion.)
In AE Pref>Previews>GPU Information, it says, “(GPU not available – incompatible device or CUDA driver)”
In AE Pref>Memory>After Effects Multiprocessing, it says, “Actual CPU’s that will be used: 0”
Below you’ll also see: “RAM allocation per background CPU: 0.75 GB”
In the past when this worked as I increased or decreased this value, AE would adjust the “Actual CPU’s that will be used,” accordingly. Now it stays at “0” no matter what I do.Here are some screenshots, so you can see my settings.
How can I get this valuable feature working again!
Thanks again.
