Multiple Keyboards
Hi, happy Christmas!
Is there a way to use 2 keyboards on a Mac whilst working on After Effects? I would like one keyboard to function in the normal way, but the second keyboard to be completely reconfigured. For example, by pressing the space button my timeline would RAM preview, hitting B would trim in point etc. I know shortcuts already exist for these actions but I use After Effects all the time and would love to simplify everything to make working on AE even quicker.

Hey Leon, I don’t think that’s at all possible but you can modify the shortcut keys in AE:

https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/modify-keyboard-shortcuts.htmlPersonally, I would recommend just committing to learning the standard shortcuts because it could cause you headaches down the road if you’re doing it differently than everyone else.

If you have an iPad, or iPhone, you could try Custom Keypad:
I bought it to mess around with, and its pretty nifty, but I never got around to building an AE keypad for it.
