Multiple Range Rendering?
Posted by Thoreau Bakker on September 27, 2013 at 2:26 amGentlemen,
I have a 20 minute video, and I’d like to export many (50+) short 2 second clips to use in some VJ software.
I’d like to go in and make my edits (via slices or markers) and batch export / render all the clips on the timeline.
Does anyone have any experience doing something like this?

September 27, 2013 at 2:42 amJust read this on another forum
“I love the idea of being able to copy and trim the media with the project, but from reading the documentation, it looks like the trim feature only works with DV AVI, uncompressed AVI, and YUV AVI files.
”Anyone know if this is what I’m talking about?
I’m trying to render to a QuickTime codec.

September 27, 2013 at 2:57 amDrop a marker at the beginning and end of each section you want to keep.
Double click between each set of markers to highlight it, press ‘r’ (for Region) and run the Batch Render script (Tools – Scripting – Batch Render).
Choose the desired location, base name and render file type, click “Render Regions” and press OK.
When this is done, go to the folder and grab your rendered files. -

September 27, 2013 at 10:18 amIf the built-in script doesn’t have enough functionality, you might want to look into my plug-in, VASST Render Assistant for only $9.95USD. It can render the markers without having to make regions out of them and do multiple formats as well.
