  • Multiple output modules on PC not working

Posted by Accountneedsrealnameupdate on January 10, 2006 at 10:17 pm

I have been unable to add any extra output modules to a render item on the PC. I can get it to work on the mac by selecting the output module and either hitting command + d or duplicate through the edit pulldown but neither works on the PC.
Can someone else try it an let me know if it’s possible on the PC at all or am I missing some trick?
Just to clarify I’m not trying to create new output module presets, rather I’m trying to add extra outputs so that one render will produce multiple files.
    Thanks in advance,

I do it all the time. I’m running a PC with Windows XP and using AE 6.5 Pro. Does the edit menu even show the option to “Add Output Module”? IT might be greyed out if the output module in your render queue isn’t highlighted already. Haven’t ever heard of this not working.

The edit menu doesn’t even have “Add output module” for it to be greyed out, thanks for the reply, this is really annoying me.

Sorry, not the “Edit” menu, but the “Composition” menu. It’s right next to it. Look there and see if there is an “add output module” option in the menu. If it’s greyed out, make sure you have your “Render Queue” window open and the composition to be rendered is highlighted. If there is no “add output module” option, perhaps you have AE Standard and it doesn’t allow additional output modules? I’m not really sure, but I’m just trying to have you check the things I would check.

    Found it, thanks a million!!
I was afraid that I was missing it somewhere, odd that it doesn’t work exactly like the mac version but i’m sure there’s some reason for it.
