None of these are deal breakers by any stretch, just odd inconveniences that don’t seem impact NTSC or 23.98 land.

    Here’s my setup:

2.6 GHz 12 core Mac Pro, 16GB RAM, NVidia Quadro 4000, Blackmagic Decklink Extreme HD 2, ATTO FibreChannel connecting to SAN. I have two broadcast monitors, one on the desktop for me and one for clients.

I’m editing a PAL project for the first time in CS6. We don’t get a lot of these at the company I’m at so we’re experiencing these issues for the first time. When I create a multicam sequence, even though the multicam sources will display in the broadcast monitors, the multicam itself does not. The workaround seems to be to disable the multicam in the source monitor, then the signal gets the broadcast monitors. The problem then becomes that when we try to re-enable the multicam, it says it’s done so, but I no longer see my A and B cams in the source window, nor can I toggle between them.

The only way I’ve found to get the multicam to become interactive again is to quit and reopen the project. The workaround we’re using right now is to have a sequence ready to go from which all the multicam footage can be previewed. We’ll be able to toggle between the cameras, although it would be really great if we were able to send the 2-up multicam view to the monitors so our clients could see all angles simultaneously, ala FCP7.

Secondly, with audio, when I’m in my 1080i50 timeline and try to preview a 48k 16bit audio clip in the source monitor, my broadcast monitors flicker and reset to PAL 576 from PAL 1080. While they’re doing this, I get no audio out of my client speakers. The lag takes about 4-5 seconds before the audio works again. The flicker/lag issue then reoccurs when I toggle back to the 1080i50 timeline. The workaround seems to be that I need to disable audio out of the Decklink card and instead go through the computer, which then leads to sync issues with the external monitors.

Again, there are no such problems when working in 23.98. Anyone else having similar problems?

    Best,
    Jon
