Hi, new to FCP and have come across a niggly problem that hopefully someone that works using the same feature can correct.

Scenario: I use the browser and name clips and also add comments in say the “shot/Take” and “master column 1” columns for example. Now FCP has a nice feature where you can name one shot/take then select the other clips that are the same (cmd +click) and by “right” clicking in the column you want to change it will present you with a list of any previous text added in that column.

Excellent you would say (I did :)) – until I found that the list is NOT sorted in any shape or form.

Now with say 20+ different names say in that column it become more of a hindrance than a real asset.

So! does anyone know how to solve this or have I missed an easy method in front of me – I have searched without avail so far.

    Thanks

    Alan

Don’t think there’s a way to change this behavior… might send feedback to Apple.. from the FCP menu…
