Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, it would be nice to confirm and hopefully Sony will correct it if so. Problem I’m having is applying a custom filter chain (of more than one filter) via the source clips MEDIA FX (not a local clips add filter). I can easily create the filter chain when in Media FX and then save that, but when I attempt to add the filter chain to a new source clip, absolutely nothing happens, as if I didn’t even click the mouse.

I believe I first discovered something similar when I attempted to load an older Vegas 8 or 9 project with source clips that had multiple Media FX. Upon examination of this project in V10, all the media fx were removed. I tried again with a very simple project, where there was only one media fx and it would still be there. Kind of maddening.

I had attempted all of this in Win7 x64 with Vegas 10c x64

I’m not quite sure what you mean, is it a chain of filters that you’re like, copying and pasting to other events?

If so, you’re probably better just adding the filters to the track, meaning any event on that track will have the same filters applied. If you need to individually correct different events you can then start to add other things to individual clips to make them match.

    Sounds pretty frustrating!

No problem to apply filter package as media FX on my computer using Vegas pro 10c x64.
Can you apply the filter package presets directly on the event?

yes, applying to the event works fine. I went ahead and tried the media FX again, but NOW applying a filter package works!…seemed fine after I rebooted. Then again there is still the issue of the importation of older projects that loses media fx….sometimes. I guess I’ll just run with this. I can’t argue with that, but I have an uneasy feeling it may rear its head up again. Thanx for the responses.
