I am working on a project that uses a single video footage layer of different scenes and am having trouble with getting the masks to cooperate with me. I have intros of each person and do a freeze frame vector art looking style which I’m sure you’ve all seen before.

Here’s the problem. The mask works fine for the first person and then I’m stuck on how to reveal all of the footage again. It simply stays like the mask shape unless I animate it to reveal the entire screen again. Then, I run into a problem with the second person that needs mask/vectored a few seconds later. How the heck do I work around this? Does it involve making a layer for each person that needs to be masked? I searched on here for an answer but have come up empty handed. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do… I’ll have to read the post again and again.

One workaround would be to cut the masked layer right there and then erase the mask from the new layer. Now you’re back to the original. You can even back up the new layer and change the opacity to bring it in.

    Good luck,
