    Multiple Format Workflow

    Hi,

    I’m starting a project in AVID with the following shooting formats –

    Sony EX3 @ 23.98
    Sony EX1 @ 23.98
    Pan. DVX100 @ 23.98
    Lipstick cam @ 30 MOS
    Handheld HD @ 60

    I don’t have the format yet for the Handheld HD footage. Is there such thing as a best workflow for AVID using all these formats? I already know that AVID can only mix footage that has identical frame rates. In the past, I would load the 30fps and 60fps footage into new projects, export as QT’s, then RE-import those qt’s into my 23.98 project. And the client is telling us we can’t use final cut. I’m just curious if there are any workarounds, 3rd party software, etc. that would help with the loading process. Thanks very much for the help.
