Multiple codecs issue
So I am posting a movie that was shot on four different cameras with 4 different codecs – h264, XDcam, DVCPro HD and ProRes 422 (HQ). The initial idea was to convert all to ProRes 422 (HQ) and then merrily go about our day. Now I am discovering that the XDCam and DVCPro HD footage all playback pretty nicely in a ProRes sequence. I’d love to not have to spend the time converting the XDCam and DVCPro HD footage to Pro Res, but am I going to run into issues at the end of the post process, such as anomalous glitches and render problems due to the mixed codecs?

If it continues to play fine and you can edit, it’s worth a shot.
When you do a final RENDER ALL though, it will compress to the codec of the sequence.Chris Tompkins

As long as the framerate is the same it should work quite well.
Set the render codec in the sequence setting to ProRes for best results.
