    Justin, the only way I have found to do this is to clear the marks on all clips (unless you’re just looking for durations of marked segments) and throw em all in a new timeline and check the duration. You can right click and get timing info for each clip, but not a bunch at once AFAIK.

    I don’t think you can do that (Final Cut’s not designed that way). But, you could always place an IN point in your timeine at the start of the first clip in your selection and an OUT point at the end of your last clip in your selection. The timecode display at the top left of your canvas wndow will show your IN to OUT duraton.

    If you select multiple non-adjacent clips, I’d just copy and paste them into new sequence, close all the gaps, and repeat the steps above. Tedious? Not really. You’ll probably spend more time selecting the clips…

    ah, but there is!

    with the clips selected in the browser,
    start a batch capture going (Control C)

    at the bottom of the Batch Cap window is a total duration

    only works for total duration, as it ignores in/out points
