  • Multiple Blackmagic Cards in a Mac Pro?

I know that two Intensity Pro cards can simultaneously be installed and used in a Mac Pro with OnAir software, but I was wondering about other possible combinations and functionality.

For example, would an HD Extreme (without HDMI) and an Intensity Pro work together with OnAir software? Also, if you had two cards (say two Intensity Pros), could you set one card to output HD and the other to output SD from Final Cut Pro?

    Hi,

Multiple card support is mainly a developer feature accessible via our DirectShow and Quicktime APIs as well as via On-Air.

It can certainly work with one HD Extreme and Intensity but there’s currently no way to configure which inputs to use on the cards which is why it currently is only support in the On-Air application with Intensity (which has only HDMI inputs).
