Multiple beam effects on 3d layers issue
This is just simple but is driving me crazy
I’m using beam effect to connect a center object to multiple object orbiting around it.All this is good, since it seems I can’t have multiple beam effects on one layer each beam is on its own layer.
Using some expression the beam is automatically connecting all my orbiting objects.To add some 3d illussion I turn on 3d layer on them so that object that passes in front of them covers them and those behind, well looks behind.
But as soon as i turn on the 3d layer all but one beams goes off.
My quick solution would be to precompose all my beams and 3d that composition, that will acheive the effect i want. My problem is that I have 38 beams so 38 expression for start point and 38 expression for end point to re-write so to reference another comp.
I’ve started doing that, maybe I’ll have an answer before I finish doing that, am I doing something wrong, or is that just the way it is?
