Multiple Artboards and Layers
Purely out of curiosity I was wondering how people structure their layers when using multiple artboards.
Do you use one set of layers which cover all artboards, or do you use separate layers for each artboard? Do you prefer one over the other, or does it depend on the project?

I normally use one layer at the bottom for linked images, the one or more for Illustrator elements and finally one on top for non printing objects that the printer needs to know.
