multiple alpha channeling?
I’m still using Premiere 6.0 (yes, I know) and have a basic layering question. I’ve got two images that I’m trying to simultaneously layer over a video clip. The clip is on the ‘video 1a’ track, and the images are located on tracks 2 and 3. Both images have an alpha channel that is empty.
If only one of the images is located above the video clip and the alpha channel key is used, the image shows up properly over the video which plays behind it. However when I try to add the second image over the top of both the video and the first image, the video doesn’t display and instead the images appear over a black background. I need for both images to appear over the video. Help!

Doesn’t the old premiere work in reversse? (If I remember right, editDV was the same way.) Track 1 is actually above track 2? If so, it sounds like the second image you’re adding doesn’t have an alpa (or premiere isn’t interpreting it correctly) and the image on track 1 is being composited over the image on track 2, which just has a black bgrnd instead of Alpha. Just a thought.
