multiple 1394 devices
Hi all,
Will Premiere play nice with multiple 1394 devices plugged in at the same time? I have a SD-Connect and a DV deck and I dislike plugging and unplugging the FW cables constantly. I ask because currently my computer has but one FW port. So before I buy a card I’d like to know.Thank you!

I also have the same two devices, and multiple firewire ports HOWEVER Premiere will ONLY recognize one device (deck or camera) and it doesn’t give you a choice of which one it sees – so even with the multiple ports I still have to plug and unplug.

Take a look at the latest episode of the PRemiere Pro podcast. It discusses just this. However, you will need to purchase a 3rd party application.Aanarav Sareen
