  Multipass Rendering

  I have been rendering my C4D files to AE using the Multipass Render option. However, there is one thing that confuses me. If I want to just adjust the shadow layer in AE, can I just choose the shadow channel of the render in the multipass option box? Will C4D export just the shadow layer to AE or will the complete render show up with the shadows on their own layer? Thank you.
