I am editing on a version 2.2.12 Avid Adrenaline on an HP XW8000 computer and am having a slight niggle with viewing back footage on my Avid viewer as all of the splits rather than just the currently highlighted video.

All footage is digitised in at 1.1 MXF and I have 5 ISO rolls, a main mix and a graphics roll. I have made a multigroup out of all of these rushes via source timecode and the groups are playing back fine without any lag, which is a good thing.

But the last gameshow I worked on where I multicam edited I was able to see all of the camera angles playing back in a ‘nine split’ in the avid source viewer. I have ensured that when I right click in the source window and choose ‘composer settings’ that both multicam options are set to ‘quad or nine split’.

I know I’ve got this to work before but I cannot for the life of me remember how. I seem to remember running into this issue the last time too.

The only thing I can think of that was different last time was that my footage was at 2.1 and that I might have been on an XW8200 system.

Any cunning suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam.

it’s time to press the oh s**t key.
