    hey all,
OK, I’m editing a music video shot on an HVX and I have 27 clips that I added AUX TC to for making a multiclip to edit with. I’m getting the AUX TC from the master track (aiff file) timecode that starts at 00:00:00:00 thru 3mins 45secs. When i select all the clips and select Make multiclip from the menu I get a multiclip that is over 10 minutes long?!?!?!? It should only be the length of the song! What am I doing wrong? What’s driving me even more nuts is that I selected all the clips again selected Make multiclip which resulted in a Multiclip of 8 mins 45 secs… I didn’t change a thing…

Anyone else have this issue? Is it because my source footage is 24fps and my TC from the audio track is 30fps?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance.

Try using in points instead. Sounds like a problem easily fixed that way.

    Hey Jerry,
After a long night and a bunch of trial and error I think I found the solution.
I reset the TIMECODE for the MASTER TRACK to start at 01:00:00:00.
When the timecode started at 00:00:00:00 Final Cut was having problems with clips that started before the MASTER TRACK and would then subtract from 00:00:00:00 resulting in a clip AUX timcode that starts at, say, 23:59:58:22.

Also I found that syncing just the CLIPS without the track is more reliable. I just set my MASTER TRACK on A1+2 in my sequence, then cut the multiclip over it.
