  • multiclip- Why am I getting a green preview bar?

    Hello

I’m working on a job using a multiclip and as soon as I drop it on the timeline I’m getting a green preview bar. This is really slowing down the edit and I know I’ve done one before where its accepted it as ready-to-go grey.

I have tried dragging out the individual clips used in the multicam on to the timeline and there no green preview bar.

Is this a bug or something obvious I’m doing wrong?

    Many thanks for looking

    John

I’ve just noticed – I am getting a grey bar when only using 4 angles and I get a green bar using 5 or more.

This is at standard DV b the way. I know I have used more than 8 multiclip angles ( @ Apple Intermediate Codec) and had no green preview bar.

    Please help

    Thanks again

    J

What’s the problem with having a green preview bar? You can edit the material like that and then collapse the multiclip.

    All the best,

    Thanks Tom…

The problem is, when its a green bar and trying to preview the clip un-rendered, the playback is choppy and the timeline/playhead is sticky when trying to edit. The really annoying thing is that there is no effect over the clips so it shouldn’t need any rendering.

    Does that explain it properly?
