Hey everyone, hope your new years are going well so far! Quest regarding a conference Im editing-
Id like to edit using multiclips because with a 3 camera setup this is a far easier option, but need to keep the original 3 clips on the timeline as well. So currently I’m dragging the three clips from the sequence back into respective folders within the browser, selecting them all and selecting sync by in point (I set the in points as the sync point as well- the in point in the sequence is on the clapper).

What’s odd is that when i drag them to the timeline a dialogue momentarily appears saying “creating master clips”. These clips in the browser then have no in point, which you’d have thought it’d keep from the timeline. Is there a setting like “create master clip on drag to browser’ or something? Why isn’t it keeping the ‘in point data’ when i do this?

I’ve used multiclips many times in the past but this is the first time I’ve had this issue… I mean, it doesn’t matter too much because I can just reset the in point on the clips in the browser using the same clips and timecode in the sequence, but it’d save me time if i DIDNT have to do that every time, and I have a few of these to do!

    Cheers!

    😀
