Multiclip HD fast or slow?
I’m editing about 3 to 4 DVCProHD clips that have been multiclipped and running off of a server connected with a 1GB Ethernet cable.
The playback isn’t as smooth and usually starts stuttering after a few seconds.
Do I need to upgrade my RAM or is the G5 just not fast enough to handle multiple HD clips?I’m using a Dual 2 GHz G5 with 2.5GB RAM.

Your system/storage is not up to it.
You can try switching to low quality playback and see if that helps
