  • Multiclip: Can I change the default option for “Synchronize using”?

Posted by Dan Shott on May 20, 2009 at 8:20 pm

    Hey everyone,

I’m doing a lot of multiclipping (by timecode) for a new show I’m working on. When I select the clips and choose Make Multiclip, the deafault for Synchronize Using comes up as In Points. Is there any way I can make that come up as Timecode instead?

    Thanks!

Chnage the drop down to timecode.

Right, but the next multiclip I make it defaults back to In Point. I’m looking to change it as the default everytime I make a multiclip.

    Dan –

You can’t change the multi-clip defaults; it’s always set to in-points. It’s a typical type of annoyance found in all NLEs that serve to remind you that they are designed by software engineers, not editors.
