    Greetings all!

I’m afraid I did something foolish. Upgraded to Leopard. At least that’s what I’m assuming was the foolish bit.

    Here’s my situation:

I’m using FCP 6.0.2 (on an Intel quad with 4 gigs ram) and trying to switch between angles in a 4-angle multiclip. Just the video angles, mind you, audio is from a single source.

I’ve been doing this for many projects since FCP 5 added multiclip capabilities, so I know how the whole bidness should work. And for years, I set up the buttons on my shuttle pro to switch between the angles (Button 1 = shift-1, etc.).

But the buttons no longer function, not only when assigned to shuttle pro, but on the keyboard *and* in the button menu.

The only way to switch between angle for me now is to mouse click on the multiclip window.

Incredibly frustrating. It’s literally halved my editing efficiency.

Anyone out there attempt FCP 6 with Leopard and multiclips. Any other workarounds? Or is there something I’m missing?

Awright, just solved it. Perhaps it’s a change in FCP from 5 to 6. And I haven’t used multiclips in 6 before, I guess.

The pre-assigned “cut video” buttons *were* shift-1, etc.; now shift-1 is assigned to “switch video”. My brain stopped working when familiar patterns refused to function.

    *sigh* (of relief)
