  • Multiclip angles go out of sync when multiclip is made

Posted by Ghered Douglas on January 17, 2011 at 3:41 am

I am working with Final Cut 7 and i have 3 different camera angles in my project. All three cameras are synced by in and out points but when i make the multiclip they become out of sync. I have tried every way i know of to fix the problem but nothing works.

Describe your exact methodology for creating the multiclips. Step by step.

Just trying to rule out pilot error.

I took my 3 clips and synced them up

I made the in and out puts the same for all 3 clips

I made each one an independent clip and put them all in a bin

I selected make a multiclip out of the bin

I tried making it using in points, out points, and timecode

What codec is the footage (important: do they all have the same codec and frame rate?)

Yes everything on all 3 clips is the same.

There is about a 17 second difference. From what i can tell only one camera i out of sync with the others
