    Hello everybody,
I want to share a happy pleasent news, we succeeded in starting and using X-san, X-raid, one FCP (one channel) and one DDR (four channels – autonaming and fullsync in one click) for direct digiting without tape casette of uncompressed video and sound. five video chanells at the same time in sum. digitized material is ready for editing on FCP right after the digitizing process.

it is all stable and reliable.

    Questions:
1.does anybody knows who else uses multichannel digitizing, and if yes, what other ways exist today for that?

2.Has anybody met any problems in digitizing the multichanel? please write your opinion and feedback on this issue.

Thank you very much for cooperation.
    best regards

    Thanks

It is a best and traditional config for multiuser work.

We have a 4 digibeta cameras in pavilion, one Dual Xeon PC 4-channel DDR connected to X-Raid by fiber channel trough X-san. G5 also connected to X-Raid. We digitize on Xeon and Mac simultaneously and together … 5 flows SDI on one X-raid.

May be our situation is more difficult? (loading on X-raid)
