Multicamera seq marker keeps jumpming around timeline!
hello there.
At the moment there are a lot of multicamera shoots happening in work so I had to come up with a way of editing them quicker than usual. I had always known about the multicam option on PP2 but i was always a little nervious about using it. I understood how to use it but when ypur dealing with four cam angles n four audio tracks, the slightest wrong move and your hours trying to fix it.
to cut a long story short i went ahead and set up a multi cam seq and to my surprise all went well and fora quick basic edit the client was happy but then asked to make a few changes. This is where it all went wrong. When I went to change anything the timeline marker would randomly jump backwards in the seq. Anytime I even picked a clip it would happen and it was always different places. The full edit was over an hour so this jumping added on at least 2hrs zooming in and out to find my place again, I even used the \ shortcut and it still took me as long. I had to edit one clip this way: 1. Pick clip, \, search timeline +++++++, make cut, \, search timeline, +++++++, move cut, \, search timeline, ++++++ etc. This is how i cut the whole hour edit. I am a broken man since.
Please if there is anyone out that can give me a reason why or solution please let me know as my next multi-cam edit is over 2 hours long!
